Clinical Indicators of PNEUMONIA

Abnormal Blood Pressure
Abnormal chest pain
Abnormal Chest X-ray results
Abnormal O2 Sat.
Abnormal resp. rate
Abnormal respiratory rate_
Abnormal sputum (colored/blood tinged/clear)
Abnormal temperature_
Abnormal WBC result
Cough
Recent aspiration and/or vomiting
Dysphagia
Dyspnea
Elevated WBC History or current CVA
Fever
Hemoptysis
Hypotension
Hypoxia
Impaired gag reflex
Leukocytosis
Neutrophilia/ Abnormal Neutrophil count
Positive Blood Cultures
Positive Sputum Culture
Positive swallowing study/MBS
Tachypnea
Tachycardia

Decreased breath sounds/rales
